01

Who this policy covers

This policy describes information handled by Buildside when you browse shop.buildside.app, place an order, or contact shop support. The shop is run as part of Buildside, built and run by Uriel Bitton.

The wider Buildside community and external services have their own privacy information.

02

Information you share with us

For checkout, we receive your email, name, delivery details, chosen products, quantities, order amounts, and payment or refund status. Stripe collects billing and payment information through its checkout components. Buildside Shop does not store your full card number or card security code.

For support, we store your name, email, subject, messages, any linked order, and files you choose to attach. Please avoid sending passwords, payment credentials, or personal information unrelated to your request.

Our hosting and infrastructure providers may process technical information such as IP addresses, browser details, request times, and error logs to deliver the site and help prevent abuse.

03

How we use it

We use this information to create and manage orders, calculate totals, provide order updates, respond to support requests, and investigate errors. Email is also used to send private access links and messages about your order or support conversation.

Security checks help us restrict access to private records, limit repeated requests, and identify misuse. Contacting support or placing an order does not subscribe you to a marketing newsletter.

04

The services that help us run the shop

We use Stripe for checkout and payment processing, Amazon Web Services for shop records, files, and transactional email, and Vercel to host the storefront. These services receive the information needed for the parts of the shop they operate.

Stripe also handles information for its own security and payment-service purposes. Read Stripe’s privacy policy for details about its practices and your choices.

Information may be processed outside your country, including in the United States, where our shop infrastructure operates. Local laws in those countries may differ. We may also disclose information where required by law or where necessary to protect people, investigate abuse, or respond to a lawful request.

05

Cookies & browser storage

Your bag is saved in local storage on your device so it can remain available when you return. Checkout uses session storage to keep track of an in-progress attempt and recent confirmations in that browser tab.

When you open a private access link, the shop sets a secure, HTTP-only cookie that grants access to the relevant orders or support conversations. That session expires after seven days; opening a new access link can renew it. The emailed links are single-use and expire after 30 minutes.

Stripe may use cookies or similar technology to provide checkout and prevent fraud. See its cookie policy. The shop does not install advertising pixels or a behavioral analytics tool.

You can clear or block storage through your browser. Doing so can empty your bag or interrupt checkout, and you may need a new email link to access private records. Clearing browser storage does not delete records already held by the shop.

06

Access, security & retention

Private order and support pages require verified access. Shop staff with the appropriate administrative access can use records to manage orders and answer requests. Keep your private links to yourself, and use a device you trust.

We retain order and support records for operating the shop, resolving questions, investigating security issues, and meeting applicable obligations. Records are not automatically deleted when you close a tab or when an access link expires. If you want information removed, contact us so we can review what we hold and what needs to be retained.

No website can guarantee absolute security. If you suspect someone has access to a private link or record, let us know promptly.

07

Your choices & privacy requests

You can browse the collection without creating an account. Checkout and support need certain contact details to work. If you prefer not to provide them, you can continue browsing without submitting an order or message.

To ask for access, correction, deletion, or information about how your data is used, contact shop support or email hello@buildside.app with “Shop privacy request” in the subject. Include the email you used with the shop, but do not include sensitive identity documents unless we arrange a secure way to receive them.

We may need to verify that a request is yours before sharing or changing information. Available rights and exceptions depend on where you live; some records may need to be retained for legal or security reasons. You can also raise a concern with your local privacy regulator.
